Less than a month after the tragic accident that took the life of Liverpool striker Diogo Zhota, his wife Rute Cardoso has shared a touching tribute on social media.
She posted three photos from their wedding day, which she accompanied with the message: " 1 month from 'till death do us part'. Forever, your white bride ."

The couple were married just 11 days before the fatal accident in Spain, where Diog Zhota and his brother, Andre Silva, lost their lives after their car veered off the road and burst into flames. Zhota, 28, was on his way to the UK, while just hours before the tragic accident he had lunch with his family at a resort in Portugal.
The news shocked the football world. Thousands of fans and colleagues expressed their condolences, while Liverpool honored his memory by retiring the number 20 shirt and organizing an emotional friendly in his honor. Before the start of the match, the stadium was filled with the sounds of "You'll Never Walk Alone" and a minute's silence was held for Zhota and his brother.
Diogo Zhota left behind his wife and three young children, while his memory remains alive in the hearts of fans and friends around the world.
