Dinamo continued their disappointing run of results in 2026, losing 0-1 to Teuta at the “Air Albania” stadium. In a match where the Blues had to react to regain ground in the fight for the top four, the team led by Ilir Daja created little real danger and was punished by a first-half incident.
The decisive goal of the match came in the 31st minute, when Arifi took advantage of a pass from the left by Ismajli and calmly sent the ball into the net. The episode was also verified by VAR for offside, but the goal was considered legal.
Dinamo had a few chances in the first half, with Bregu trying from a free kick and another chance that ended up hitting the post, but the action was ruled out for offside. However, the Blues failed to convert their chances and headed into the break at a disadvantage.
In the second half, coach Ilir Daja tried to change the course of the match with several substitutions, bringing on Mustafa, Farruk and Lorran to increase the strength in attack. Despite the pressure in the last minutes, Dinamo failed to find the equalizer.
One of the best chances for the Blues came in the 82nd minute, when Mustafa headed a cross from the right wing, but the ball missed the target. Meanwhile, in extra time, Teuta was left with a man down after Rune was sent off for a challenge on Bregu, a decision made after a VAR review.
However, the result did not change and Teuta managed to get three important points.
After the match, Dinamo coach Ilir Daja acknowledged the difficult moment the team is going through, highlighting the lack of efficiency in the attacking phase.
According to him, Dinamo controlled the game at several moments, but was punished by a single episode.
" To lose the game with one episode, when we had more defenders in the zone than the opponent, is a shame. We tried to react and changed the attack, but we faced a defense with a low block ," said Daja.
The coach also emphasized that the team is also suffering psychologically and from a lack of players in top form.
" We have a crisis of results, I wouldn't say a crisis of play. We have some players out of shape and psychological problems. We lack players who go to the goal and this is penalizing us ," he added.
Daja admitted that the goal of catching the top four has become more difficult after these results.
" With the results we are producing, the top four has become difficult. We will do our best until the end to change the situation ," declared the Dinamo coach.
