Distria Krasniqi has been declared European champion in judo in the category up to 52 kilograms, of the European Judo Championship, which was held in Zagreb, Croatia.

The Olympic champion in the final defeated the Italian judoka, Odette Giuffrida with waza-ari.

Krasniqi had a fantastic performance, winning one of her matches. First, she eliminated the Croatian Ana Viktorija in the quarterfinals to position herself among the four best Europeans in the category up to 52 kilograms.

Then, the well-known judoka defeated the Spaniard Ariane Toro Soler in the semi-finals, while completing her mission in the best possible way by winning the gold medal.
