Struga won 1-0 against Buduknost at home, in the first challenge of the second round of the Conference League. This is an important success for the team from North Macedonia, which goes into the return match with the advantage in its pocket.
The team led by Shpëtim Duro completely dominated the match, creating many chances in front of the opponents who were led by Mladen Milinković, the former coach of Luftëtari and Kukes. Ibraimi, Shabani and Radeski created some good chances in front of goal and in the end it was the usual number 9 who found the back of the net in the 30th minute to give his team the lead.
The dominance in the game and chances continued in the second half of the match, but the Struga team wasted a lot in front of the opposing goal, missing several good opportunities to deepen the advantage created. Thus, the challenge ended with the numbers 1-0, leaving open again the qualification for the return match after a week in Podgorica.
