The Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Federation held a meeting today, where, among other things, an important decision was made regarding the upcoming UEFA elections.
The Committee members unanimously approved the proposal of the President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, to support the candidacy of the current UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin, for a new mandate at the head of European football's government.
The President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, has been part of the highest governing body of European football for two terms, where he holds the position of vice-president of UEFA.
In the official announcement, the AFF emphasizes that this decision comes as an appreciation for the work and leadership of Aleksander Ceferin over the past few years.
" The Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Federation, at the meeting held today, reviewed and unanimously approved the proposal of President Armand Duka regarding the candidacy that the AFF will support for the position of UEFA President.
This decision comes as an expression of the utmost appreciation for President Čeferin's leadership, vision and contribution to the development of European football over recent years.
The AFF believes that the continuity of UEFA's leadership by Aleksander Čeferin will guarantee stability, progress and further support for all member associations.
