Real Madrid's contract talks with Vinicius Junior remain stalled, with no progress made even after the departure of Xabi Alonso, who was reported to be an obstacle to the Brazilian's continuity, reports El Larguero.

The 25-year-old's contract expires in June 2027 and he has not been happy with Madrid's offer of an extension, nor has he decided to leave the club.

However, Los Blancos are confident they will secure Vinicius' future, while the player has also expressed his desire to stay at the club for many more years following the victory against Monaco in the Champions League.

Madrid considers the great hostility Vinicius has received from fans to be unfair.
