Egnatia gave another signal of strength in the title race, as it defeated Elbasan with a deep score of 0-4 at the "Air Albania" stadium, in a match valid for the "Final Four" phase of the Superiore.
The team from Rrogozhina started the challenge at a high pace and practically decided the fate of the match in the first half. Striker Bakajoko was the main protagonist of the first 45 minutes, scoring two goals against Elbasan and constantly putting the opposing defense in difficulty.
The reigning champions' dominance continued as Fernando scored the third goal, giving Egnatia a clear advantage before the break.
In the second half, the team led by Edlir Tetova calmly managed the score, controlling the game and the pace of the match. However, the team from Rrogozhina did not stop there and managed to find the fourth goal with Aleksin, sealing a convincing victory.
With this success, Egnatia climbs to 31 points and takes the lead in the "Final Four" standings, taking an important step in the race to defend the championship title.
On the other hand, Elbasan also remains with 31 points, but the heavy loss to their direct rivals complicates the situation for the continuation of the final phase. The Elbasan team will now have to focus on the next match to recover ground in the classification.
The next meetings in the "Final Four" are scheduled to take place on May 23 and 24. Meanwhile, in the first match of this new format, Dinamo triumphed 0-2 over Vllaznia, in the match played on Saturday.
