Ernest Merdanaj has developed an extraordinary performance in the "Open G2" taekwondo tournament that was held last weekend in the Netherlands. After 6 strong matches in this championship, which is also considered one of the most important competitions in the G2 category, Merdanaj won the gold medal, climbing the flag of Albania to the highest step of the podium.
A success that enables another 20 Olympic points for the Albanian taekwondo talent. We remember that just a few weeks ago, Ernest Merdanaj also won a gold medal in the "Albania Open G1", an event held for the fifth consecutive edition in the "Feti Borova" hall of the Olympic Park in Tirana.
Merdanaj, an athlete of the Tirana team and trained by coach Arjola Kasaj, will participate in the Open G1 tournament in Romania in a few days. His objective is a place in the top five in the world ranking, while the dream remains the qualification for the Olympic Games "Los Angeles 2028".
