Albania and Serbia will jointly organize the European Under-21 Football Championship in 2027. On February 4, UEFA confirmed that this championship will be organized by the two Western Balkan countries. In this regard, today a reaction has also come from the "Plisat" group from Pristina, one of the fan groups that have shown fervent support for the red and black national team throughout its journey over the years.
Their reaction began by calling the decision to host the European Championship by Albania and Serbia "the most shameful act in the history of Albanian sports." The group says that the Albanian Football Federation should know that sport is not separated from history nor from the feelings of the people it represents, and this decision is not only meaningless, but also anti-national.
"Plisat" have also addressed the president of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, saying that this decision does not erase history, while adding that they turned a blind eye to the actions of the Serbs in the last war in Kosovo, where thousands of people lost their lives, thousands of women were raped and Albanian property was burned. The group asks the Albanian Football Federation to reconsider this decision and to withdraw "from the most shameful act in the history of Albanian sports and not to sell our national dignity for narrow interests." According to them, sport should unite us, but not by forcing us to forget our blood and pain.

REACTION OF THE "PLISAT" GROUP TO THE MOST SHAMEFUL ACT IN THE HISTORY OF ALBANIAN SPORTS
Fortunately, you are few, but unfortunately you have great influence in that Albania of our heart. You are few who have inferiority complexes towards Albanians and other Balkans, but you have great quarrels because you are in high positions.
This is a slightly longer article, but not as much as our pain. Nor as much as our pride. Therefore, we ask you to take some time to read it. The Albanian Football Federation should know that sport is not separated from history nor from the feelings of the people it represents. This decision is not only meaningless, but also anti-national.
No one gave you a mandate to rehabilitate criminals. No one gave you a mandate to trample on our dignity. But you have a mandate to follow football. And when you do your job, how come you don't notice any anti-Albanian act in the stadiums of your "partners"? How come you don't notice the anti-Kosovo, anti-Albania flags, the choreography of the Albanians vowing to make a name for themselves when they return to Kosovo? We have always given them the answer they deserve, the last time when they entered Banjska a year and a half ago, when they left their friends dead and ran away like rabbits, but today we decided to give you the first answer, written here, for your shameful act. Mr. Duka, with a drop of your pencil and with a signature of yours, history is not erased, much less our pride and pain, BUT we assure you that we are very hurt.
And who are we? We are the Albanian people, who all over the world look at you with surprise and anger at how when you signed with your partners, you did not remember their actions only in the last war, where they committed against us no less than: 15,000 murders of civilians, over 20,000 rapes of women; they burned over 40% of Albanian property; they disappeared over 6,000 Albanians, about 1,600 of whom are still unknown where they are; they committed over 400 documented massacres; they looted the private and public property of Kosovo Albanians; etc. etc.
But their desire for bloodshed and plunder neither began with the last war, nor did it end with it.
Sport can be a bridge between peoples, but not when it is used to normalize injustice, fascism, the guilt and debt of the most genocidal state in the Balkans.
We cannot remain silent in the face of such injustice. We ask the Albanian Football Federation to reconsider this decision, to withdraw from the most shameful act in the history of Albanian sports, and not to sell our national dignity for narrow interests.
Sport should unite us, but not by forcing us to forget our blood and pain. There are two ways to remember the history of our people. One is full of pain and suffering, the other is full of pride and honor. You will not be able to violate either of them. With any of your organizations, with any of your brotherhood, with our blood.
NOT WITH THEM!
NOT ON THE BLOOD OF ALBANIANS!
DIGNITY ABOVE ALL!
WE DON'T FORGET, WE DON'T FORGIVE!
Meanwhile, both Albania and Serbia have faced sanctions from UEFA, European football's governing body, due to incidents between fans. In 2014, an incident occurred in Belgrade during a match between the two teams, when a drone with the flag of "Greater Albania" entered the stadium, which prompted a scuffle between Albanian and Serbian players and fans.
Despite these incidents, the federations of Albania and Serbia came together last year and planned to organize the European Football Championship. The championship requires eight stadiums, where 31 matches will be played. UEFA said the opening match of the championship will be held in Serbia, while the final match will be held in Albania.
