Inter fans have been banned from attending away matches until March 23, 2026.
This measure was taken by Italy's Interior Minister, Matteo Piantedosi, after fireworks were thrown during Sunday's away match in Cremona, which hit Cremonese goalkeeper Emil Audero.
" The measure aims to ensure public order and safety and prevent the recurrence of incidents that could jeopardize the peaceful development of sporting events ," the Interior Ministry report said. The Milan-Inter match on March 8 has been excluded from the measures, given that there will be no fan movement, as both clubs are from the same city, Milan.
" Following serious unrest, the Minister of the Interior has ordered a travel ban for Inter fans until 23 March 2026, as well as a ban on the sale of tickets for the same matches to residents of Lombardy ," the statement further said.
The away matches banned from having Inter fans will be the ones against Sassuolo next Sunday, as well as those in Lecce and Fiorentina.
