The Superior Category enters the “Final Four” phase this week, where the season’s champion team will be determined. However, the biggest attention of the weekend is expected to be in Durrës, where Teuta and Pogradeci will face off in a decisive challenge for their place in the Albanian football elite.
The Albanian Football Federation has decided to change the time of this match, which was initially scheduled to be played at 4:00 PM. According to the latest decision, the match will start at 3:00 PM.
The change is related to the possibility that the challenge at the “Niko Dovana” stadium will go to extra time and penalties in case of a draw in regular time. Such a scenario would create overlap with the other important match of the day, the one between Vllaznia and Dinamo at “Air Albania”, valid for the “Final Four”, which starts at 19:00.
To avoid the clash of two high-profile duels, the Albanian Football Association has decided to bring the start of the Teuta-Pogradeci match forward by one hour. Unlike the teams competing for the championship title and who have another chance in the final phase, the Durrës match is decisive and irreversible for the fate of the teams in the next season.
