The girls' team Teuta has made history, winning the Albanian Cup for the first time in this category, after a 1-0 triumph over Apolonia in the grand final.
In the challenge held this afternoon at the "House of Football", the coastal team secured the first Albanian Cup trophy in the club's history, after a very positive and well-deserved edition.
The final match was decided by a spectacular goal by Estevao in the 71st minute, which gave Teuta a historic success and a great trophy celebration.
The first half was quite beautiful, with scoring opportunities for both teams. Teuta was more demanding with Vishkulli, while Da Silva also came close to scoring, but Xindole cleared it on the fatal line. On the other hand, the Fier girls tried two consecutive opportunities with De Sousa and Silva Santos, but Spaho made the save. The first half ended goalless.
The second half started with the same starting lineup for both teams. Da Silva started the game well, but goalkeeper Afi stopped him in the 53rd minute.
In the 71st minute, the goal that determined the fate of this challenge was scored, with Estevao curling a ball towards the goal, Afi was unable to stop it properly, with the ball crossing the fatal line. 0-1 for Teuta, who managed the match well until the end and took the victory and the much-desired cup.
After the end of the match, the ceremony for the presentation of medals and the Albanian Cup trophy was organized.
The member of the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Association, Anila Basha, presented the Albanian Cup for girls to the Teuta team.
