Nazmi Gripshi and Klisman Cake will continue their careers in the Russian championship, as the two Albanian national team players have been officially announced at their new clubs. Gripshi has been transferred to Rubin Kazan, while Cake was previously presented by Akhmat Grozny.

According to the information made public, Rubin Kazan paid around 500 thousand euros for the 28-year-old Gripshi. On the other hand, Akhmat Grozny invested around 400 thousand euros to secure the services of midfielder Cake.

Both players made their debut with the Albanian national team in October 2025, in a friendly match against Jordan. After their appearances with the red and black jersey, they took another step in their careers, this time in the Russian football elite.

Gripshi stood out with Astana in Kazakhstan, where in 53 matches he scored 25 goals and provided 12 assists, becoming one of the team's most productive players.

Meanwhile, Klisman Cake was an undisputed starter at Shkëndija e Tetovo. He leaves the club with a balance of 132 matches, being one of the most consistent elements of the formation.

The transfer of the two Albanian players comes at a time when Russian clubs are not participating in European competitions due to sanctions imposed by FIFA and UEFA. This means that Rubin Kazan and Akhmat Grozny will only compete in the domestic arena.

With this move, Gripshi and Cake begin a new chapter in their careers, becoming part of the Russian championship, while it remains to be seen what impact they will have on their respective teams.
