After a spectacular 2-4 victory over Daugavpils in Latvia and a well-deserved qualification to the second round of the Conference League, Vllaznia has already learned its next opponent. It is a formidable name in Nordic football, Vikingur Reykjavik from Iceland.
Vikingur, who came from a tough duel against Malisheva of Kosovo, showed no mercy: after a minimal 0-1 victory in Kosovo, in the return match they destroyed their opponent with a shocking 8-0 score, closing with a total of 9 goals scored without conceding any. A clear signal of the offensive power of the Icelandic team, which is not the first time it has faced the Albanians.
Exactly one year ago, Vikingur was the one who stopped Egnatia from reaching Europe. Although the Albanian champions won 0-1 in Iceland, the return match in Rrogozhina ended with a 0-2 victory for Vikingur, eliminating the Albanians calmly and efficiently.
