Albanian football legend, Sokol Kushta, expressed his opinion on the National Team's matches in March, focusing on the Rossoneri's loss against England and the victory over Andorra.
"England, with teams like Albania, usually closes the match in the first half, as they did during Reja's time at the National Team, 5-0, and the story ended there. What I didn't like then was Silvinho's statement, that he was happy that we didn't concede too many goals. So, if you say 'I'm happy that we conceded a few goals', what can we expect from the players? They were happy that they lost 2-0, I was upset because we weren't dignified. It could be the weakest match of the National Team. It's a sin not to make two passes. The first half was 87 to 13 in favor of England in terms of ball possession, it's a scandal. We were worse than a bus. We didn't defend with England, we broke England's game, that's what we did. There are teams that defend, have a strategy and then counterattack, while we just broke their game. England," said Kushta on the "Max Sport" show on "Euronews Albania".
The situation with Armando Broja
"I don't want to discuss Broja on the left, on the right or in the center, but the whole team must have a strategy for Broja, to be served with fast ball, because Broja has a great sprint. Broja cannot play with passes, not 'I gave this pass' or 'that pass'. Broja is the one from the match with England, when they gave him three passes and he broke away. You are an average team, that big teams leave the game for counterattack. Broja is not a waiter, he is not to give assists. He has a skill. Tell me how much we have taken from his skills? Zero. You as a coach have to get the best out of him ," said Kushta.
