Tragedy in Greek football, 21-year-old collapses on the field and dies in hospital
A tragedy has been recorded in Greek football today, as 21-year-old Atromitos Piraeus footballer Alex Bangse has lost his life.
The news was confirmed by the club itself through an official post, as it was announced that during the first half of Saturday's match against Ikaros Kalithea, the youngster felt pain and collapsed on the pitch.
The team doctors' reaction was immediate ,
attempting to revive him, and a defibrillator was also used.
The 21-year-old footballer was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, still with a pulse, but despite the doctors' efforts for about an hour, he could not survive, thus losing his life.
