Crossed the Mediterranean Sea by helicopter because of the Moroccans, Keidi Bare

Keidi Bare returned to the starting line-up for Zaragoza for the first time since March of this year, after injuries had kept him out for a long time. But for this match against Ceuta, he had to go through an unusual ordeal.

Ceuta is an autonomous region on the coast of North Africa, bordering Morocco. Normally, to get there, you can fly to a nearby airport in Morocco, or cross the Mediterranean Sea by boat.

But Bare, Akuku, Bazhdar, Saidu and Radovanovic, who are not EU citizens, could not travel freely to Morocco with the rest of the team, who would be making the trip by plane. The club also did not want to tire the players out with a boat trip across the Mediterranean to circumnavigate the Strait of Gibraltar.

Thus, a solution was found with a helicopter trip. Bare and four other footballers, accompanied by the club psychologist, went to the city of Algeciras in southern Spain and from there they flew across the strait by helicopter, landing directly in Ceuta.

Thus, the footballer managed to start in the match where unfortunately his team lost 1-0. And just as he had arrived, after the match, together with the others, he boarded the helicopter again and returned to the other side of the Mediterranean.
