MOTO GP champion suffers fractures in hand and leg, Jorge Martin crashes in tests

Jorge Martin's 2025 season with Aprilia begins with a serious injury.

During the first day of official Moto GP testing in Sepang, the reigning world champion was the protagonist of a bad fall in Turn 2, which caused damage to his left leg and right hand.

The Spaniard was taken to the medical centre for initial checks and then to the nearby Nilai Hospital (6km from Sepang) for further tests. Tests revealed fractures to his hand and leg.

Martin remained under observation overnight, returning to Europe today, where he will undergo surgery.

" It's not a good start, but I'll come back stronger ," was Martin's reaction after this injury.
