Dinamo has been declared the winner of the Albanian Cup for the 2025-2026 season, after defeating Egnatia 3-2 in the final held at the “Air Albania” stadium. The team led by Ilir Daja benefited from numerical superiority from the first minutes and managed the advantage until the end, despite the return to the game in the last minutes of the match by the Rrogozhinas.
The final started in the worst possible way for Egnatia. In the 6th minute, striker Soumaila Bakajoko was sent off by referee Enea Jorgji after a hard tackle on goalkeeper Aldo Teqja. The Dinamo goalkeeper was injured and had to be taken off the field by ambulance, while 21-year-old goalkeeper Tomas Kiri was called in to replace him.
With one more player on the field, Dinamo took control of the game and found the advantage in the 23rd minute. It was Malomo who finished off a beautifully constructed move by Nani, dedicating the goal to the injured goalkeeper.
Just six minutes later, Dejvi Bregu doubled the lead with a superb long-range goal. The powerful right-footed shot left no chance for the opposing goalkeeper and the first half ended with a score of 2-0 in favor of Dinamo.
At the start of the second half, Dinamo was also left with 10 men. Malomo, the author of the first goal, was punished with a second yellow card for delay of game in the execution of a corner kick, leaving his team in numerical inferiority.
Egnatia came back into the game in the 81st minute, when Nikola Burić took advantage of a mistake in the Dinamo area and narrowed the gap to 2-1. However, the Blues' reaction was immediate. Ibrahim Mustafa, a second-half substitute, scored the third goal with a powerful shot from outside the area.
In extra time, Egnatia scored the second goal, but the time was not enough to avoid defeat. Dinamo wins the Albanian Cup for the second year in a row and the 15th trophy in the club's history.
