Partizan coach Skënder Gega gave a press conference before the match against Nome Kalju, a match that is important for the Conference League.

But we have been training for a while, 12 days after the end of the season we started preparations and almost all the players returned from vacation. We have trained and talked together, it is a process that everyone does. There are some young people who came to the club and we tried to include them in our idea and philosophy, we will see tomorrow .
Isgandarli's absence? He is a new player, he has been here for a while, whoever comes and becomes part of the club has his own importance and has his own position. Of course, if he was there it would be good, it is an added value, it was not in our hands, there are processes and procedures that we could not help in this aspect. In three days he will be there. We have 23 people and everyone has their chance, that's how football works, when someone is absent for some reason, it is someone else's chance to show themselves, help the team and I hope it happens.
Ismaili and Janjeva have been injured, in recent days they have joined the team but are not able to help today. The rest is healthy, the trip has been good and we have had time to rest. This is a young group, a good group, a new spirit, as age rejuvenates us a bit, makes us optimistic. Everything is fine so far .
The change from the first experience at Partizan? Someone has aged, more gray hair.. (laughs). The club has grown, it has become better, it has made investments, it is different from 6 years ago. A few years ago we had problems, but now the club has its own field and hotel and everything. Everything is great, the players should understand how lucky they are to work every day and improve for their career. But as I said, every year is different, we are a young team. Last time when I was with Partizan, there were some experienced players, it was good for me. But I like to work with any age, it doesn't matter the age, but if you are fresh and how strong you are. I am very happy with the team and the group we have. Very happy that they are quality players, very kind, the mission is to push them to be better. Everyone wants to be successful but in my mind, my job is to be a good example. I'm a grandfather and I try to treat them equally and make them feel comfortable .
Are there any interventions in the transfer market? I think Real Madrid needs it, Barcelona… If someone better comes, they are welcome, but this is a process, the club is involved. 10 players have left from last season, we have told them and we are continuing. I think they have helped the team a lot. We have tried to rebuild, to bring in young people and I hope it will be good for the club and for them. Step by step. Tomorrow is very important for the club and for me as a coach. We are lucky that we have the second match in Albania, we will try to do better tomorrow and in the home leg, I will try to do my best.
We have watched several Kalju matches with the staff, they are a good team, they play quality and technical football. Nothing to hide, if they are a good team, we have to tell the truth and prepare to play with them. I don't know the championship well, but I have seen the opposing team, even though they were defeated in the last match, I liked how they played. So we will prepare for them tomorrow ", said Gega, among other things, in the pre-match conference.
