Nome Kalju president has confirmed that his team's first match in the Conference League against Partizan, which will be played in Tallinn, will not be broadcast by any television. Kuno Tehva explained to local media why this drastic decision was made.
According to him, he has received very low economic offers from local televisions and no agreement has been reached with Partizan to exchange TV rights. As a result, the match will not be broadcast live by any television, so he has called on his club's fans to buy tickets to watch the match at the stadium.
" Unfortunately, in Estonia, the usual amount offered by television stations for the first rounds is too small in our opinion. In order for this to start growing, you have to at some point just say 'no '," Tehva said.
" We think that this activity is being carried out at a very low economic and unfair level. Everyone benefits from the broadcasts, except the clubs who take on the cost and risk. It is not fair and unfortunately we have had to become hard-hearted ," said Nome president Kalju.
This is bad news for Partizan fans in Albania who will not have the opportunity to see their team in this first European match. However, a small number of the team's ardent supporters have traveled to Estonia and will be present in the stands for this duel.
