"We have enough evidence for CAS", reacts the Federation of Kosovo:

The Football Federation of Kosovo has reacted on the official website, after losing the match 3-0 on the table against Romania. FFK writes that despite UEFA's decision, there is enough evidence for the case to be won in CAS.

The reaction of the Football Federation of Kosovo:

Today, following our fact-based complaint about the use of racist, xenophobic chants and hate speech by Romanian fans during the match between Romania and Kosovo, UEFA has taken the decision to punish the Romanian Football Federation with a fine of €128,000 and one match without viewers.

For the FFK and the players of our National Team, this decision is a confirmation of the reasonableness of our actions against racist calls and provocative political messages against Kosovo. For this, Romania has been fined a total of 80,000 euros. This decision fully justifies our actions, and we are proud that our national team correctly assessed the situation when it decided to leave the field in protest against these racist calls, provocative political messages and other discriminatory behavior. This decision confirms that Kosovo has set a new standard for the protection of dignity and respect in international football.

Despite this, we do not agree with the decision to remove three points from Kosovo in the table and announce the result 3-0 in favor of Romania. For this decision, FFK will appeal and appeal the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, continuing to defend the right and integrity of our National Team.

FFK has already submitted a formal request to receive the full decision from UEFA, to have full access to all the details and legal reasoning that led to this decision and upon receipt of the full decision, we will use any other steps of appeal available to us to challenge the removal of points, which does not reflect fairness and does not reflect our efforts to protect sporting values.

This case is not just a challenge for Kosovar football, but a battle against racism and discrimination in all its forms. Our players showed incredible courage and exemplary attitude by refusing to play in unworthy conditions, and this decision by UEFA is clear evidence that hate speech, racism and provocative political messages have no place in football.

FFK remains committed to protecting the interests of players and our sporting community, setting new standards for fairness and respect in sport. We thank all those who have supported us in this journey and invite all football lovers to join us in this battle for equality and dignity.
