
The next general assembly of Sporting Lisbon, which is set for October 8, is expected to vote, according to the newspaper "A Bola", on the proposal of the board of directors, to put the name of Cristiano Ronaldo on entry number 7 of "José Alvalade" stadium.
An act in honor of the former Sporting player, who has already "donated" the name to the club's Academy.
Ronaldo played for five years in Sporting's academy and in the 2002-2003 season played in the first team before moving to Manchester United and his career flourishing.
It should be noted that the "José Alvalade" stadium has been renovated several times, while this year the entrance gates to the stadium were increased from seven to 12.
