Trabzonspor seems to be continuing its strategy of bringing Albanian footballers to the team. After Ernest Muçi's good performances, the Turkish club has brought Myrto Uzun's name back into focus.
According to Turkish media reports, including "HaberGo", Trabzonspor's management remains interested in transferring the Albanian striker, even though a possible agreement between the parties failed during the January transfer window.
Uzun himself previously revealed that the transfer to the Turkish club had been very close to being finalized, but negotiations were broken off at the last moment.
" I had a very good offer from Trabzonspor and I could join Ernest Muç there. It was closed as a transfer, but everything fell apart in ten minutes. The coach really wanted to take me to the team, everyone agreed and the offer was high. It was like Austin's team bought me from Granada (12 million euros) ," Uzuni said in a statement for "FSHF".
The Albanian striker is currently part of Austin FC in MLS, while his contract with the American club is valid until the end of 2027. This situation also makes Austin's leaders cautious towards any possible offer.
Uzun's positive performances this season have increased the interest of Trabzonspor, who see the 29-year-old as an important alternative for the offensive department next season.
A possible transfer to Turkey would be considered an important step in the Albanian footballer's career, especially considering that Trabzonspor will be part of European competitions next season.
