The Albanian national basketball team remains without a coach, Afrim Bilali resigns from the red and black colors

Afrim Bilali is no longer the coach of the Albanian national basketball team. The 43-year-old from Shkodran has resigned, announcing this through a post made on social networks. A departure that comes just days before Albania gathers for the 2025 European Championship qualifiers, with the Reds and Blacks due to begin preparations on July 10.

The coach announced that the reason for the resignation is the non-fulfillment of the conditions agreed by the Federation, but without giving many details.

Afrim Bilal's Facebook post:

"Friends, due to not fulfilling the previously agreed conditions, I am forced to resign from the national team. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with every corner of you who have been part of this journey with me", writes Bilali in his post on "Facebook".
