Klodian Duro has reacted with irony to the Albanian Football Federation's decision to entrust the leadership of the national team to an Italian coach, leaving out Albanian candidates.

The former national team player, who on several occasions has expressed his willingness to take over the management of the Rossoneri, published a message on social media expressing his dissatisfaction with the choice made by the Albanian Football Association.

" Sono italiano anch'io " ("I'm Italian too"), Duro initially wrote, ironizing the decision to appoint Rolando Maran to the national team bench.

Further, the former midfielder emphasized his pride in the contribution he has made over the years with the red and black jersey.

" Proud to be Albanian and to have shed blood and sweat for the flag and the red and black jersey. Endure & Win ," was the message he published.
