Luis Enrique has revealed that he intends to end his coaching career before he turns 60. The PSG coach made this statement in an interview with Spanish media, where he spoke about his personal plans and how he sees the future in football.
The Asturian coach said he does not want to become the classic figure of a coach who continues to sit on the bench at an advanced age. According to him, it is important to know the right moment to leave the profession.
Luis Enrique also revealed that he has discussed this issue within his family, mentioning an ironic "pact" with his younger brother, Felipe, who works as a clerk and plans to retire at the age of 61.
" I always tell him that I should retire before him, so do the math yourself ," the PSG coach declared.
However, he did not completely rule out the possibility of continuing longer if he still has the necessary motivation and energy. Luis Enrique stressed that continuing his career beyond the age of 60, in his current view, could be a miscalculation.
