French President Emmanuel Macron is trying to pressure Real Madrid to release Kylian Mbappe for the Paris Olympics. The French striker will join Los Blancos this summer as a free agent, and this has almost been confirmed by multiple sources already.
It appears the same is the case in Macron's mind as he has admitted he will try and ask his 'so-called future club' to release the French superstar for the Paris Olympics which will coincide with the pre-season camp of Real Madrid.
Speaking to the press, the French president said: " Will Mbappe play with France at the Olympic Games?" I hope so. In any case, I put maximum pressure on his so-called future club .
As previously reported, Real Madrid have already informed the French Football Federation that they will not be releasing their players for the Olympics as they want to have them ready before the start of the season.
It remains unlikely that Mbappe will play at the Paris Olympics this summer, with Real Madrid looking to remain steadfast in their stance. FIFA does not recognize the Olympics as an official tournament and therefore Real Madrid are not obliged to allow Mbappe to join the national team.
