The scandal in the Madrid derby on Sunday night continues to be a topic of the day in Spain. The Spanish media have reported on other details that came to light from the derby, where apart from the endless objects thrown at Real's goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, or offensive calls from both fans (15 from Atlético fans and 2 from Real), the Spanish police are also investigating the presence of knives in the stadium.
According to the Spanish media, one of the Atlético fans who has been identified for the lighters thrown towards Courtois, is reported to have had a knife. This has set the Madrid police in motion.
Exception - The events that took place in "Metropolitano", which led to the suspension of the derby for 16 minutes, have also brought the reaction of the Atlético club. The capital club, organizer of the meeting, announced on Monday the decision to "permanently exclude" from the "Metropolitano" stadium the person identified on Sunday by the Police as being involved in throwing things at goalkeeper Thibo Courtua during the derby against Real.
According to sources from Madrid, the red and white club's security department is continuing to work with the Police to identify the rest of the people involved in the throwing of the objects, who will be banned for life once found.
17 accusations against the clubs - La Liga, for its part, through the match director present on Sunday at "Metropolitano", has denounced all the episodes and calls that incited violence in the Madrid derby. La Liga has listed a total of 17 cases of incitement to violence that this body considers to be punishable, both in the Sports Discipline Code of the RFEF, and in the legislation against violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sports. Even the Anti-Violence Commission in Spain has condemned the incidents that happened in the Madrid derby, promising harsh measures against those responsible, as well as the "Colçoneros" club.
