Thiago Motta will be dismissed from his position as coach of Juventus. In their reports, the Italian media give the certainty of the Italian-Brazilian's departure from the bench. Igor Tudor, the famous former player of the team, is expected to be appointed at the head of the Bianconeri, who will hold the position until the end of the season.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Tudor has accepted the club's offer and will be in Turin to formalise the deal. Juventus have yet to make any official announcement to deny the change in the bench.
The decision came after a disappointing season, a Champions League exit to PSV, but above all after conceding seven goals in the last two defeats to Atalanta and Fiorentina. The team is currently in fifth place and is in danger of missing out on the Champions League for the new season. This would be a major financial blow, considering that the departure of coach Motta could cost the club around 20 million euros.
Approached by Bologna at the start of the season, the technician had a contract until 2027, from which he benefited from 4 million euros net per season. The costs are also added to the salaries and expenses of other members of the technical staff.
