At the age of 45, the famous Italian goalkeeper, who has made a name for himself with the teams of Parma, Juventus and PSG, has decided to hang up his gloves and end it with the playing field, with a sport where he has become a from iconic names and is rated among the best in history.
Buffon actually had one year left on his contract with Parma, but an agreement was easily found between the parties for the goalkeeper to end it here. A career that started at Parma in the distant year 1995 and ends at the same club after 28 years.
He spent most of his career at Juventus, from 2001 to 2021, winning numerous trophies in Italy, but the highlight for him will always be his success with the Italian national team at the 2006 World Cup.
