Armando Broja is undoubtedly one of the talents of the Albanian national team. The red and black striker hopes to be a protagonist with Chelsea this season. Everyone is actually looking forward to his return to the field, after an injury sustained last year kept him out of action for several months.
The 21-year-old, in a statement for the club's official website, expressed how his love for the London Blues began and what emotions he experienced when he first set foot on a "Stamford Bridge" stadium.
" I don't remember exactly which match it was, but Chelsea was playing at "Stamford Bridge". I was around 5-6 years old and I remember my uncle taking me to a game. He was one of the reasons I became a Chelsea fan because he was probably the biggest Chelsea fan in the world. I was wearing a scarf and a Chelsea hat. I forgot who was playing because I was so young, but it was one of the best experiences of my life when I was that age. It was really fun.
I always wanted to go with my uncle, only sometimes I went with my father, but most of the time with my uncle and it was great for him to take me and have that experience at that age. It really had a lot of impact on me.
When I first saw "Stamford Bridge" it was extraordinary, the number of people who were there, the noise around the stadium, how much impact the players gave to the fans when they came out on the field. It was really crazy and from there I was like, "Wow, I want to play on this field one day." Everything started there.
It's really exciting when you see the players get off the bus, walk to the tunnel, things like that. It's great when you walk into the stadium. I remember we went to get something to eat, I got a hamburger and then I sat in the stands and ate it, and then I took one of the flags that were on the benches and waved it. Then I saw the players come down to the playing field. I think I was sitting on the lower side of the west. It was truly an incredible experience.
When I was a little boy, my uncle was the first to dress me in a Chelsea shirt when I was just two years old. My mum told him to stop, but he insisted that I become a Londoner fan. So I grew up as a Chelsea fan and everything started from there ", Broja confessed.
