The Israeli national team has arrived in Tirana for the friendly match that will take place on Wednesday against Albania, but the Israeli delegation has traveled without head coach, Ran Ben Shimon.

The 55-year-old has been forced to stay in Israel due to a health issue, following a head injury he suffered during a padel match a few days ago. According to reports from the Israeli camp, doctors have recommended that he not travel by plane until his condition fully improves.

In the absence of Ben Shimon, the Israeli national team will be led by deputy coach Gal Cohen, who will lead the team during their stay in Tirana and in the match against Albania.

The friendly between Albania and Israel is seen as an important test for both national teams on the eve of upcoming international commitments, serving as a way for coaches to assess the teams' situation and available alternatives.
