The second half of the Istanbul derby between Besiktas and Galatasaray is underway. So far, the yellow-red team is leading 1-0 thanks to a goal by striker Victor Osimhen.
However, a controversial episode during the match has caught the attention of fans and sports media. In a duel in midfield, Galatasaray striker Leroy Sane tackled Albania midfielder Kristjan Asllani, placing his heel on his ankle. After the tackle, Asllani lay on the field for several moments, showing signs of pain.
The referee of the match, Ergun, decided to punish Sane with only a yellow card, a decision that caused reactions from the Besiktas camp. The black and white club published a video of the moment of the intervention on social networks, accompanied by the question: " What else should happen ???".
Despite the blow and initial discomfort, Kristjan Asllani continued the game, which indicates that the Albanian midfielder did not suffer a serious injury.
Asllani remains one of the important players of the Albanian National Team under the leadership of coach Silvinjo. Albania will face Poland on March 26, in the match valid for the "play-off" phase of the World Cup.
