Albanian national team coach Silvinjo may be forced to make significant changes to his attacking line-up for the World Cup qualifiers, which will take place at the end of this month. With just over two weeks left until the Rossoneri start their training camp, the attacking situation is proving problematic.
Armando Broja remains injured and has not yet returned to training. Meanwhile, concerns have been added to the condition of Mirlind Daku, who has suffered a tendon injury and risks being sidelined for a long period.
The striker's condition has also been confirmed by Rubin Kazan's new coach, Frank Artiga. In his presentation to the media, the Spanish coach also addressed Daku's absence, emphasizing the great importance of the player for the Russian team.
According to Artiga, the team is largely built around the characteristics of the Albanian striker and replacing him is very difficult.
" When I came here, I was looking forward to the opportunity to work with Daku, but now he is injured and this is a big loss. The team is built around him and it is very difficult to find the qualities he has elsewhere ," said the Spanish coach.
Artiga also stressed that the club will not risk activating the player without fully recovering. According to him, tendon injuries are specific and their recurrence could have serious consequences for the footballer's career.
" A tendon injury is quite specific. If it recurs, the player could be out for a very long time. We don't want to take any risks and are monitoring his recovery until he is 100% ready ," he added.
According to the Rubin Kazan coach, there are only rough predictions for Daku's return to the field, but there is still no exact date. This situation makes it unclear whether the striker will be available for the national team for the upcoming matches.
If his absence is confirmed, coach Silvinjo may be forced to look for other alternatives in the offensive department for the Rossoneri's crucial matches.
