Albanian-born footballer, Pajtim Kasami, has joined the Swiss team, Winterthur.
Swiss newspaper Blick reports that the midfielder was keen to return to former club Sion, but coach Didier Tholot refused to let him. It is also reported that Kasami had several offers in the summer, but decided to join Winterthur, where he has been training for the past few days.
Kasami thus returns to Switzerland, where he began his career, to then move on to Serie A, the Premier League and the Greek Super League, where he won the title twice and the Cup once with Olympiacos Piraeus. Winterthur is the fourth Swiss team for the Albanian, after Luzern, Sion and Xherdan Shaqiri's Basel.
