Previously unpublished footage from the FA Cup created the impression that Pep Guardiola was having a conversation with an "invisible" person, prompting numerous reactions and comments online.
In the video that circulated widely, the Spanish coach was seen speaking and reacting as if he were talking to someone, which led many fans to humorously speculate that he was talking to himself or a "ghost."
The moment came to light during Manchester City's celebrations for their Carabao Cup and FA Cup triumphs. During the ceremony, captain Bernardo Silva joked about the situation, saying:
“ The question is… Pep, people want to know who you were talking to .”
The statement caused laughter among those present, including Guardiola himself.
The FA Cup later released full footage of the episode, clarifying the situation. The video shows the City manager actually communicating with two assistants sitting on the back row of the bench, who were not visible in the initial footage that went viral.
