The Albanian national team could face significant absences in the offensive department for the match against Poland. After Armando Broja and Mirlind Daku, who are still questionable due to injuries, coach Silvinjo has received another piece of bad news: Rei Manaj has physical problems.
The Sivaspor striker was also absent from today's Turkish league match against Hatayspor, a match his team won 1-2. Turkish media report that the 29-year-old has suffered an injury to the upper part of his left thigh.
After medical examinations, the club's staff has decided that Manaj will rest for a few days to recover from his physical problem. This situation raises doubts about his presence in the next Albanian national team squad.
If his absence is confirmed, Albania could face a crisis in attack, given that Armando Broja and Mirlind Daku are also in the recovery process and it is not yet known whether they will be ready for the challenge against Poland.
Rei Manaj has been one of the key players of the red and black team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. He became the protagonist in the match against Serbia in Leskovac, where he scored the only goal of the match and gave Albania a 0-1 victory.
