The coach of the Albanian National Team, Silvinjo, together with his technical staff, has intensified preparations on the eve of the 2026 World Cup play-off match against Poland.
Over the past few weeks, the red and black staff has closely followed several matches of the "Abissnet Superiore" championship, with the aim of monitoring the players who are active in the Albanian football elite.
Among the matches watched were the Dinamo City – Vllaznia and Egnatia – Dinamo City. According to official sources, the observations focused on identifying the sports form and physical condition of potential players for the squad.
In parallel with the domestic championship, Silvinjo and the technical staff have also been present at several international meetings.
In Portugal, they watched the Europa League match between Porto and Rangers, where the performance of the national team midfielder, Nedim Bajrami, was closely evaluated.
Meanwhile, in Italy, the technical staff was present at the Lazio - Atalanta challenge, where two starters of the Albanian national team, Berat Gjimshiti and Elseid Hysaj, were activated.
During his stay in Italy, the coach held a meeting with captain Berat Gjimshiti. Also, a visit was held with Elseid Hysaj at the premises of the Albanian Football Federation, as part of communication with the team leaders before the play-off challenge.
These meetings, according to common practice among technical staff, aim to coordinate and clarify objectives before an important international match.
In the coming weeks, it is planned to follow several other National Team players in matches with their clubs, with the aim of detailed assessment of their physical and sporting form.
Preparations for the challenge against Poland continue with high intensity, while the technical staff's focus remains maximum in order to achieve the objective in this crucial stage of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
