The end of the first half of the First Category "play-out" match between Kukës and Butrint was accompanied by tension and incidents on the field of play, after a clash between players from both teams.
The incident began after an argument between Butrint's Silva and Kukes' Alison. The latter reacted by headbutting his opponent, in an episode reminiscent of Zinedine Zidane's famous incident in the 2006 World Cup final. The Butrint player ended up on the ground, and the situation immediately escalated.
Butrint players and staff strongly protested the action, while both benches entered the field, creating chaotic moments. Despite the episode occurring near the linesman, there was no signal from his side for a more severe punishment.
At the end of the consultations, the main referee Albert Doda decided to punish Alison only with a yellow card, a decision that caused reactions from the Butrint camp.
Meanwhile, in the second half, Kukësi leads 2-0.
