The match between Tottenham and Villarreal in the Champions League has quickly set a new record for the continent's most important club tournament.
The challenge started with a quick goal scored in the 4th minute of the duel. It was a ball crossed into the area from the right of Tottenham's attack that was controlled well at first glance by goalkeeper Luiz Junior. But then the latter did the unthinkable by pushing the ball into the net of his own goal.
This hilarious moment turns out to be a Champions League record. While own goals have been scored by various goalkeepers before, none of them had been scored earlier, making Luiz Júnior's the fastest in the tournament's history.
