The event of a few weeks ago, when several people showed up at the house of the president of the Albanian Football Federation after some threatening messages, including the president of the Iliria football club, the father of four players, Nazmi Selmani, along with some family members , caused panic in the environment of Albanian football.
An unprecedented event that resulted in the immediate reaction of the State Police, where the persons involved were arrested under the charge of "Threat for the Purpose of Duty". The investigations continued and some of them were arrested.
But the incident immediately brought an apology from the people involved and the family members of this family, which is closely related to the sport of football, a sincere reaction and repentance that has had its effect.
The Duke's statement was made on September 12 and was submitted to the prosecutor's office. The duke asks the prosecution body that after the perpetrators of the threats against him show remorse, the latter asks to pardon the president of the Iliria club, Nazmi Selmani, Brajan Selmani, Santiago Selmani, Petrit Selmani, Adolf Selmani, Artur Selmani and Redian Loci .
" Taking into consideration the expression of their remorse and that of their family members, I would like to express my forgiveness to the citizens: Nazmi Isuf Selmani, Brajan Nazmi Selmani, Santiago Nazmi Selmani, Redian Haxhi Loci, Petrit Petrit Selmani, and citizens Adolf Nazmi Selmani and Artur Luan Selmani " says the Duke in his statement, reports News24.
Duka says that he requests from the competent bodies that his individual apology statement be taken into consideration during the conducted investigations, in order to avoid all conflicts and promote the values of the AFL according to him.
On August 30, the Durrës Police arrested the president of the football club Iliria Nazmi Selmani and 4 other people, after Duka's report that Nazmi Selmani had threatened him, asking him to account for why his son, Gentjan Selmani, had not joined the National Team. Meanwhile, today the Appeal released Nazmi Selmani and Petrit Selmani, while the other three were released earlier.
