Albanian national team striker Rei Manaj has today joined a new team, transferring from Sivaspor to Sharjah FC. After two seasons and 34 goals scored, the 28-year-old has undertaken another professional adventure, in the United Arab Emirates.
After being made official at Sharjah FC, Manaj wrote a message to Sivaspor fans on social media, implying that he had a clash with the board and technical staff:
" My dear Sivasspor fans, you are now more than just fans, you are my family and always will be.
We have shared truly special moments, which no one can take away from us, no one can tarnish what we have achieved. I have always preferred not to talk much, even in the most difficult moments, for your sake and for your unconditional love. I have swallowed many things that were not done properly towards me, but this is not the right time.
"Just know that I have been loyal to you from day one to the last and I always will be. 34 goals and 11 assists in two seasons, celebrating together, seeing you happy is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Thank you for everything, I will never forget you and my family ."
