The Albanian national football team seems to have some innovations in the first squad for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Coach Silvinjo has been convinced by the skills of Kosovo U-21 captain Etnik Brruti, with the latter, according to the "Dardan" media, confirming his transfer to Albania, citing coach Tovërlani. The latter did not stop and attacked the Albanian Football Association and Armand Duka, saying that they do not have the strength to work for two teams.

The Kosovo U-21 midfielder is part of Malisheva in the local championship and holds the captain's armband in the national team. His good performances led Dardanëve coach Franko Foda to invite him to a "trial" for a few days, but without bringing him into the first team.
Now things seem to have changed and media in Kosovo are reporting that Etnik Brruti has agreed to be part of Albania, apparently for the two national team matches for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, against England in London on March 21 and against Andorra on March 24 in Tirana.

For "Telegrafi", Kosovo U-21 coach Afrim Tovërlani has confirmed the invitation for Etnik Brruti and the midfielder's desire to join Albania. He said that Brruti is requesting an Albanian passport because some agents are "misleading him" and he wants to move to the Russian league.
In addition, Tovërlani has attacked the Albanian Football Federation and its head Armand Duka, appealing to them to cancel these invitations, as Kosovo does not have the strength to work for two teams.
" But Etnik has told us that he is choosing Albania. The reason is because of the Albanian passport, through which he can be transferred more easily to Russia. Our players are being deceived by some quasi-managers, who are seducing and deceiving them.
"I have no comment on the players who are betraying the Dardanelles jersey and who are playing with our work, effort and sweat. Armand Duka and the Albanian Football Association are also to blame for not stopping this trend. We do not have the strength and power to work for two national teams ," said Afrim Tovërlani.
Previously, Ardian Ismajli, Arbnor Muja, Mirlind Daku and Ermir Rashica, who were part of Kosovo, also moved to Albania.
