At the Etihad, Manchester City returned to winning ways, after defeating Armando Broja's Burnley 5-1. The home team took the lead first thanks to Esteve's own goal, while the visitors equalized in the 38th minute through Jadon Anthony, who equalized after a beautiful, successfully completed move. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw. In the second half, the Citizens found the goal twice more, one of which was an own goal.
In the 60th minute, Mateus Nunes scored for 2-1, after a header from Erling Haaland. In the 65th minute, French defender Maxim Esteve was again unlucky, after a duel with Oscar Bob, sending the ball into his own goal. Armando Broja entered the field in the last 10 minutes, but without being able to do anything. Haaland scored two goals in the final minutes, sealing the 5-1 victory.
Chelsea disappointed by losing 1-3 at Stamford Bridge to Brighton. The Blues found the first goal in the 24th minute, after a fantastic combination, Kaisedo-Estevao-Enzo Fernandez. Kaisedo gave a wonderful pass to the Brazilian Estevao, who crossed into the area and Enzo Fernandez had a very easy time sending the ball into the net. The first half ended 1-0 for the Londoners.

Chelsea were badly humiliated, Brighton eventually winning 1-3.
After five consecutive victories, Liverpool were stopped for the first time this season in the Premier League, also suffering their first defeat. The reigning champions were defeated 2-1 by Crystal Palace. The home team took the lead after 8 minutes of play through Ismaila Sarr, who scored after a corner kick and chaos in the area.
Liverpool equalised in the 87th minute, with Frederico Chiesa coming on in the second half. The home side did not give up, with Edward Nkeita scoring Crystal Palace's big winner in the 90th+7th minute.
