There was no winner in the Serie A matchday 20 superchallenge between Inter and Napoli, with the two teams sharing the points in a spectacular 2-2 draw at the San Siro stadium.
The match started in the best possible way for the home team, who took an early lead in the 9th minute through Federico Dimarco, sparking the enthusiasm of the black and blue fans. However, Napoli reacted and in the 26th minute Scott McTominay restored the balance, ending the first half in even numbers.
In the second half, Inter increased the pressure and in the 73rd minute, Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored for the Blues from the penalty spot, giving the home team the lead again. Just two minutes earlier, Napoli coach Antonio Conte had been sent off for protesting against the referee.
Despite this, Napoli did not give up and it was McTominay again who came on stage in the 81st minute, scoring the second personal goal and equalizer for the Neapolitans, a goal that denied Inter the break at the top of the standings.
After this draw, Inter maintains first place in Serie A with 43 points, three more than second-place Milan and four points ahead of third-place Napoli.
