The Italian coach, Luigi di Biaxho, was officially presented on the bench of the capital city and spoke for the first time to the Albanian media. He admitted that Dinamo is not yet the strongest team of Superior and the project has just started.
What convinced you to come to Dinamo's bench?
I realized that there is a desire to grow, there is a desire to play with young people, there is a desire to reach a very good level, so it is enough to see the project and the enthusiasm, to understand why I came here.
Think you can get results right away? Are you informed about Albanian football?
This is the objective. Obviously we can't compete for the top places at the moment, but the team is on the rise and it's up to me to make them play well and achieve important results. There are some teams that today are stronger than us. However, I see a team that is growing a lot and if you ask me the same question in two months, we can talk differently. The first objective is to grow and position ourselves in the first places, but to be objective, there are stronger teams.
You have a very rich CV and maybe the offer from Albania made you think long and hard. Is this a challenge for you?
It is a big challenge. I know well the history of Dinamo and its last 15 years, where it has not won a single trophy. We are here to bring it back to high levels and we have a project to do it in 2-3 years, although to be honest I hope we can do it sooner. I'm used to always thinking and looking up, but I have to be honest, this is going to be a rebuilding year.
The first match of the championship is against Tirana?
We will immediately see at what point we are. Tirana is a great team, with a great coach and quality players. I have seen them play and they are very strong, so let's see how we will face them.
Would you like something more from the market?
I am satisfied, because they brought me the ones I asked for. There are always opportunities and we have to improve, share if there is a need, the managers are ready to please me. For now we will work with this organic. We are waiting for another player, but I am aware of the problems we have. I am optimistic, but also aware that I have to work on many things. Anyway, I'm excited and with the right desire.
