A serious incident has been recorded in the lower categories of women's football in Italy, specifically in the Promozione championship, Group B.
The incident occurred during the match of the 28th week between the teams Gropelo San Giorgio and Eva Milano, where the situation on the field got out of control. According to the complaint made by the visiting team, the tensions started after an intervention on the player with number 9, Kiara D'Ambrosio. The opposing player was punished with a second yellow card, leaving her team with ten players.
The referee's decision caused an immediate reaction from the home team's bench, which entered the field to protest. At this point, the situation escalated significantly.
According to the claims of the Eva Milano team, there were continuous insults towards the players, while the Gropelo San Giorgio coach is suspected of having pushed the captain of the opposing team, knocking her to the ground.
