Vedat Muriqi is expected to be one of the most talked about names during the summer transfer window. Turkish media reports that the Kosovo striker is very close to returning to Fenerbahçe, the club where he excelled before transferring to Serie A.
According to journalist Sezgin Gelmez of "HT Spor", a preliminary agreement has been reached between Muriqi and representatives associated with the club. Sources say that now only the formal finalization of the contract remains, once the management situation at the Turkish club is clarified.
The issue of Muriqi's transfer is also closely linked to the presidential elections at Fenerbahçe. Turkish media reports that the transfer market has become one of the main topics of the campaign of presidential candidates Aziz Yildirim and Hakan Safi, who are working on important approaches to the team.
According to "HT Spor", Aziz Yildirim has reached an agreement with Muriqi and, if he wins the elections, is expected to finalize the transfer with the official signing of the contract.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that the other candidate, Hakan Safi, also supports the idea of bringing in the Mallorca striker, which makes Muriqi's return to Fenerbahçe a real possibility, regardless of the outcome of the club's elections.
