Dinamo defeated Tirana 0-2 in the first leg of the Albanian Cup quarterfinals, held at the “Selman Stërmasi” stadium. The team led by Ilir Daja controlled the game for most of the match and consolidated their lead in the final minutes.
Dinamo took the initiative from the start. Ilir Daja's players built several clean moves and repeatedly approached Tirana's goal, but failed to break the deadlock in the first half.
The first goal came in the 76th minute. Lorenzo Vila took advantage of an insecurity in Tirana's defense and sent the ball into the net. The action exposed the lack of coordination in the home team's defensive line.
In the 93rd minute, Dejvi Bregu closed the score. He took advantage of the spaces created by Tirana in an attempt to equalize and scored the second goal, sealing the 0-2 victory.
With this result, Dinamo creates a significant advantage before the return match, which will take place in early March. Tirana will need to overturn a two-goal deficit to secure qualification to the semi-finals.
